Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) is relying on multiple DiGiCo Consoles for the 2016 Rio Olympics. In a sophisticated remote-to-home setup, the CBC has a pair of SD11 consoles down in Rio and a pair of SD9 in Toronto to manage the hundreds of channels of Live Audio. The two remote SD11's are being controlled remotely via the DiGiCo SD-Series Remote software from Toronto with a dedicated remote connection. In addition, two DiGiCo SD9's are being used to augment the Live to Air SSL console for EVS and playback.
GerrAudio and the Banff Centre have teamed up to offer another SMAART School at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Smaart is the most straight-forward and widely used software for real-time system measurement, optimization and control in professional sound engineering today. It helps audio professionals around the globe do their jobs better, faster, and smarter. Long-time audio systems engineer and instructor Jamie Anderson will facilitate this three-day training session designed to give participants real-world experience with the Smaart software, with assistance from GerrAudio.
DiGiCo SD9 and Outline MANTAS Array Loudspeakers complemented this years Palmer Rapids Music Festival. On the shore of the attractive Madawaska River, the Palmer Rapids fesitval attracts artists from all over. This year's festival saw artists like Doc Walker, Cold Creek County and the Edgar Loudermilk Band. Equipment was provided by NOC Visual Alternatives out of Kingston, ON.
